PKR review
PKR is one poker site that everybody who’s ever had anything to do with online poker knows. Launched only a few years ago, PR decided to attempt to put a dent into an already saturated market, through a unique approach: they developed a software which features a fully 3D engine, and state of the art gaming graphics – and I mean actual PC and console gaming here, not online poker style. The result was a dazzling looking interface which players can use to interact with their opponents in a variety of ways. That considered, it is safe to say PKR has taken online poker to an entirely different level.
When you pick up your pocket cards for instance you actually need to take a peek at them, a move which your avatar will actually execute at the table and which will be visible for the other players around the table too. This can be used as a tell by the more skilled players.
Several other poker rooms have attempted to copy PKR’s marketing approach since, but none of them really succeeded at it. It is also part of the truth about PKR that its launch was preceded by a massive advertising campaign.
Due to the fancy graphics, many of PKR’s players are online poker beginners, drawn by the life-like experience the site offers. Cash tables are extremely juicy and tournament tables are looser than usual too.
